Saudi ports handles 22.6m tonnes of cargo in November

The total tonnage of cargo handled in Saudi ports during the month of November reached 22.67 million tonnes, marking an increase of 6.14 per cent compared to the figures recorded during the same period in the previous year, said a report.

The number of handling containers reached 521,000, an increase of 1.21 per cent on the same period of the previous year, according to the statistical index issued by the Saudi ports authority ‘Mawani’, added the Saudi Press Agency report.

The number of vessels in the Saudi ports during the month of November 2018 - 944 vessels; the number of passengers - 70,000, while the number of vehicles 61,000; and the number of livestock 320,000 heads, added the report.
