Saudi aviation authority president dismissed

The president of Saudi Arabia's national aviation body, Abdulhakim bin Mohammed bin Suleiman Al-Tamimi, has been sacked, a news report said.

According to the state-run Saudi Press Agency,  King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud issued a royal order relieving the GACA head of his post.

"Pertinent authorities" had been instructed to implement the royal order, the report said.

Reasons for Al-Tamimi's removal were not stated.

Al-Tamimi was appointed to his position to GACA in June 2017.
