Saudi GACA approves design plan for new airport

The final development designs for Al Jouf International Airport in Saudi Arabia have been approved by Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) President Abdulhadi Al Mansouri after its thorough review.

Work is due to begin on the project in September and will be completed within the next two years, said the statement from GACA.

The airport project will boast a terminal that can handle one million passengers per year and 14 aircraft parking bays. It will have a total build-up area of 47,000 sq m (landside), while the airside building area is estimated at 22,483 sq m, it added.-TradeArabia News Service
