Advanced Electronics Company (AEC), a Saudi Arabian Military Industries (Sami) company, said that its defence and aeronautics solutions received strong visitor interest at the recently concluded Defense and Security Equipment International (DSEI) exhibition, in London, UK.

The exhibition was held at ExCeL London from September 10 to 13.

At the leading international arms fair, AEC showcased its diversified portfolio of avionics, electronics, electronic warfare, and C4ISR offerings, said a company statement.

In addition, the company signed a teaming agreement with L3Harris Technologies to collaborate on different rotorcraft simulators within the kingdom.

Ahmed Al-Khateeb, chairman of Sami; Abdulaziz Al-Duailej, president and CEO of AEC; Dr Andreas Schwer, CEO of SAMI; and Lenny Genna, president of L3Harris Military Training, were present at the signing ceremony.

Abdulaziz Al-Duailej said: “At AEC, we are immensely proud that our participation in DSEI 2019 was a resounding success as we attracted strong interest and received tremendous appreciation for our innovations from international visitors.”

“The exhibition also offered us an excellent platform to enter into a strategic partnership, which will help us further our contributions toward materialising Saudi Arabia’s vision to localise 50 per cent of its military and security spending through the development of a robust and sustainable domestic military industries sector,” he said.

“We will also build on our relationship with L3Harris Technologies to help develop a local talent pool and create new employment opportunities in the kingdom,” he added.

HRH Prince Khalid bin Bandar bin Sultan, Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to the UK, visited AEC at the exhibition, in addition to Ahmed Al-Khateeb, chairman of Sami, and a number of high-profile dignitaries and industry experts.

AEC highlighted its flagship cybersecurity solutions such as Security Operations Center (SOC) and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) and advanced military fleet management technologies (Madar) and Air Observation System (AOS) during the four-day exhibition.

In addition, the company also showcased advanced Anti-Drone solutions as well as its maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) and Typhoon avionics repair capabilities at the event, it stated. – TradeArabia News Service
