$530m goods cleared by Saudi customs in two days

Saudi Customs through 23 of its land, sea and air ports, has completed procedures for clearing more than 7,700 consignments imported to the kingdom, during the last two days. 
 
A total boat size of 400 tonnes will value exceeding SR2 billion ($530 million) were cleared during the period, reported SPA.
 
The Saudi customs announced in a joint statement with the General Authority for Ports that they are working around the clock to receive container ships and goods, in accordance with health safety requirements and preventive measures taken by the kingdom, in view of the spread of the Coronavirus. 
 
They said they have taken all necessary precautions to sterilise the port and customs facilities and provide staff working, with all protection, to facilitate the flow of goods and services for the various cities of the kingdom, safely and securely.
