Qanbar Dywidag Precast Concrete Company Limited (QDC) was formed in 1981 as a partnership between one of the leading business conglomerates in the Eastern Province, Al Ansari Holding Company (Abdul Razak Mohammed Qanbar Al Ansari & sons), and one of the largest German General Contractors and precast concrete manufactures, Dyckerhoff & Widmann AG (DYWIGAG). In January 1st 2002, Al Ansari Holding Co. bought the whole share of Dywidag and became the sole owner of QDC.

QDC has built a strong name for quality, service and competitiveness, completing many prestigious projects throughout the kingdom of Saudi Arabia for both government & private sector clients. This includes Royal Commission of Jubail & Yanbu, Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Saudi Aramco), SCECO, SABIC, Ministries, the New King Fahad International Airport, in addition to other military & civil governmental authorities and different private sector projects. Projects include mega housing projects, hospitals, schools, factories warehouses, show rooms, multi-story offices, apartment buildings, single and multi-story car parks, villas, shopping centers, mosques, supermarkets, boundary walls and paving. The Research and Development division is constantly studying the market and introducing new systems and products to meet current demands.

The company entered the decade with new, strengthened management and a clear sense of mission. Expansion of the organization in both assets (production lines) and skilled specialized manpower creates a new look and gives the company the opportunity to grow strategically.
